Dear Parents,
June marks the end of our school year – it goes so quickly – and we thank you for having chosen our Preschool! We have enjoyed it, and hope this year has been a positive experience for your family.
Have you registered yet for summer and/or fall? Please be sure you do so by this first week of June if you are planning to do so.
Our end-of the year program will be Wednesday, June 9 at 10 a.m. in the Church Sanctuary. The children have been rehearsing special songs they’ll be singing. Grand-parents and friends are welcome, too. Come and be a part of our saying “goodbye”! If your child doesn’t usually come on Wednesdays, please bring them to their classroom at 9:30 AM so that they can participate, and then you can take them home with you after the program. The last day of school is June 16.
If any more parents are able to volunteer, there are several cleaning, yard work, or sanding type of chores that we can still use your help on! If you got our note regard-ing volunteering, we’d really appreciate some of your time. Come to the office and ask us what jobs are left.
Summer session begins on Tuesday, June 29, and we look forward to seeing many of you back at school then. We’ll have lots of fun activities, playing with water, special summer treats, and our familiar teachers in the classrooms. Many of our “graduating” students will be coming to Summer session, as well as many new and returning students.
LAUSD has changed their schedule to add furlough days, and although we try to follow their calendar, we will not be following exactly this year because of their new schedule. If you are coming back in September, the first day of school is Wednesday, September 8. Your child’s new teacher will be contacting you in late August to schedule a home visit before school starts. This is a unique tradition we have at our school that we are proud to continue.
